In rare cases, Typinator can get stuck in what's known as an installation loop. This means that macOS repeatedly tries to install the application, but the process never completes—no matter how many times you try. You might see the app appearing to install, then failing silently or asking you to reinstall it again.
If this happens to you, don’t worry—there’s a proven workaround that usually resolves the issue. Please follow the steps below carefully:
Delete the current Typinator application from your Applications folder.
Restart your Mac.
Download the version of Typinator you want from our official site: https://ergonis.com/typinator/download
Double-click the downloaded
.dmgfile to open it.Important: Instead of launching Typinator directly from the disk image, drag and drop the Typinator app to your Desktop.
Restart your Mac again.
Now, move the Typinator app from your Desktop into the Applications folder.
Launch Typinator from the Applications folder.
This process should successfully resolve the install loop and allow Typinator to run normally again.
