Yes, you can turn off the sound in Typinator!
However, please note that Typinator offers two types of sound settings, and it's important to check both if you’re still hearing sounds.
However, please note that Typinator offers two types of sound settings, and it's important to check both if you’re still hearing sounds.
1. Global sound settings (Default for all sets)
You can manage the general sound preferences here:
Go to:
Typinator > Settings > ExpansionIn this section, you can set or disable the default sound for both expansions and corrections.
These settings apply to all abbreviation sets that don’t have their own specific sound configured.
2. Set-specific sound settings
Sometimes, sounds persist because they are defined at the set level, overriding the general settings.
To check and update set-specific sounds:
Right-click the abbreviation set in the list on the left.
Choose “Set Info” from the context menu.
